SEMANTIC COLOR INDEX (ECONOMICS SECTION)

The inkjet prints are part of a broader inquiry into computational color semantics developed in collaboration with Ardalan SadeghiKivi. The algorithm statistically links language to color.  Words or concepts, in this case, English-language Wikipedia page titles from the economics section, are turned into color histograms. From each histogram, one color is selected and printed as a rectangular shape on a white canvas.
